Abstract
A cement clinker composition incorporates calcium fluoride and iron oxide to reduce firing temperatures and increase strength. High fly ash, aluminum dross, aluminum scrap, high aluminum clays and combinations thereof may also be substituted for bauxite in the cement clinker composition.
Claims8
A cement clinker composition, comprising:
- 20-35 wt % C3S;
- 40-55 wt % C4A3Ś;
- 10-25 wt % C2S;
- 2-6 wt % C4AF;
- and
- 0.7-0.85 wt % CaF2 as present in fluorellestadite and fluormayenite clinker phases fired at 1200-1300° C.
A cement clinker composition, comprising between about 0.7 and about 0.85 wt % CaF2 and between about 0.5 and about 5.0 wt % Fe2O3 and after firing at between about 1200° C. and 1300° C. including between about 20 and about 35 wt % alite and between about 40 and about 55 wt % calcium sulfoaluminate.
