Abstract
A high-speed circuit assembly includes a high-speed circuit including at least one waveguide/transmission line, and a radiation absorbing material disposed in contact with or in close proximity with the waveguide/transmission line.
Claims19
A circuit assembly comprising:
- a radio frequency circuit configured for testing an integrated circuit (IC) device at a radio frequency, the radio frequency circuit comprises:
- a ring coupler comprising a ring having at least three ports connected thereto and radially extending outward therefrom, wherein at least one of the ports includes a device contact portion to contact the IC device,
- wherein the ring coupler further comprises an isolation port connected thereto, the isolation port comprising a waveguide/transmission line terminating at a waveguide/transmission line end, the waveguide/transmission line to carry a radio frequency signal and a substantially direct current signal, and
- a radiation absorbing material in contact with or in close proximity with the waveguide/transmission line end, the radiation absorbing material configured to attenuate or block the radio frequency signal and allow the substantially direct current signal to pass through the waveguide/transmission line.

A method comprising:
- applying a radio frequency signal and a substantially direct current signal to a radio frequency circuit configured for testing an integrated circuit (IC) device at a radio frequency, the radio frequency circuit comprising:
- ring coupler comprising a ring having at least three ports connected thereto and radially extending outward therefrom, wherein at least one of the ports includes a device contact portion to contact the IC device, wherein the ring coupler further comprises an isolation port comprising a waveguide/transmission line terminating at a waveguide/transmission line end, and
- a radiation absorbing material in contact with or in close proximity with the waveguide/transmission line end;
- and
- attenuating or blocking the radio frequency signal with the radiation absorbing material and allowing the substantially direct current signal to pass through the waveguide/transmission line.
