Abstract
A vehicle lamp includes a light source, and a reflector including a diffusion/reflection surface configured to diffuse and reflect light emitted from the light source toward a front surface side, the diffusion/reflection surface has a curved surface shape that forms a curve according to directionality of the light emitted from the light source in a cross section in at least one direction along an optical axis of the light emitted from the light source.
Claims14
A vehicle lamp comprising:
- a light source;
- and
- a reflector including a diffusion/reflection surface configured to diffuse and reflect light emitted from the light source toward a front surface side,
- wherein directionality of light emitted from the light source is a Lambertian light distribution,
- wherein the diffusion/reflection surface has a concave curved surface shape that forms a cosine curve according to a directionality of light emitted from the light source in a cross section in at least one direction along an optical axis of the light emitted from the light source,
- wherein the cosine curve is a curve expressed by an equation B=Acosθ in a case provided that:
- a distance A is a distance from the light source to the diffusion/reflection surface when an emission angle of the light is 0°;
- and
- a distance B is a distance from the light source to the diffusion/reflection surface when the emission angle of the light is θ.
