Abstract
A retainer mechanism, comprising a first engagement assembly that is configured to be actively moved to one of a hold or a release state of the first engagement assembly, and a second engagement assembly that is configured to be passively moved to one of a hold or a release state of the second engagement assembly.
Claims50
A retainer mechanism, comprising:
- a first engagement assembly that is configured to be actively moved to a hold state of the first engagement assembly and is configured to be actively moved to a release state of the first engagement assembly;
- and
- a second engagement assembly that is configured to be passively moved to a hold or a release state of the second engagement assembly;
- wherein:
- first engagement assembly operations and second engagement assembly operations are unconditionally independent of each other and
- wherein:
- the first engagement assembly is external to a retainer member;
- and
- the second engagement assembly is internal to the retainer member, with a section of the second engagement assembly extending out of an opening of the retainer member.
6 more elements
A retainer mechanism, comprising:
- an adjusting member;
- a first engagement assembly that is configured to be actively moved to a hold position to engage with and to hold the adjusting member and is configured to be actively moved to a release position to disengage from and to release the adjusting member;
- and
- a second engagement assembly that is configured to be passively moved to a hold position to engage with and to hold the adjusting member and is configured to be passively moved to a release position to disengage from and to release the adjusting member;
- wherein:
- first engagement assembly operations and second engagement assembly operations are unconditionally independent of each other and
- wherein:
- the first engagement assembly is external to a retainer member;
- and
- the second engagement assembly is internal to the retainer member, with a section of the second engagement assembly extending out of an opening of the retainer member.
7 more elements
A retainer mechanism, comprising:
- a retainer member having:
- a first engagement assembly that is configured to be actively moved to a hold position to engage with and to hold an adjusting member and is configured to be actively moved to a release position to disengage from and to release the adjusting member;
- and
- a second engagement assembly that is configured to be passively moved to a hold position to engage with and to hold the adjusting member and is configured to be passively moved to a release position to disengage from and to release the adjusting member;
- wherein:
- first engagement assembly operations and second engagement assembly operations are unconditionally independent of each other and
- wherein:
- the first engagement assembly is external to the retainer member;
- and
- the second engagement assembly is internal to the retainer member, with a section of the second engagement assembly extending out of an opening of the retainer member.
7 more elements
A retainer mechanism, comprising:
- a retainer member;
- and
- an adjusting member associated with the retainer member;
- the retainer member accommodates a first engagement assembly and a second engagement assembly;
- the first engagement assembly is configured to be actively moved to a hold position to engage with and to hold the adjusting member and is configured to be actively moved to a release position to disengage from and to release the adjusting member;
- and
- the second engagement assembly is configured to be passively moved to a hold position to engage with and to hold the adjusting member and is configured to be passively moved to a release position to disengage from and to release the adjusting member;
- wherein:
- first engagement assembly operations and second engagement assembly operations are unconditionally independent of each other and
- wherein:
- the first engagement assembly is external to the retainer member;
- and
- the second engagement assembly is internal to the retainer member, with a section of the second engagement assembly extending out of an opening of the retainer member.
10 more elements
A retainer mechanism, comprising:
- a retainer member having:
- an external engagement assembly that is actively moved to a hold state to engage with and to hold an adjusting member and is actively moved to a release state to disengage from and to release the adjusting member;
- an internal engagement assembly that is passively moved to a release state to disengage from and to release the adjusting member when the retainer member is moved to a first orientation, independent of the status of the states of the external engagement assembly;
- wherein:
- external engagement assembly operations and internal engagement assembly operations are unconditionally independent of each other and
- wherein:
- a section of the internal engagement assembly extends out of an opening of the retainer member.
4 more elements
A retainer mechanism, comprising:
- an external engagement assembly that is actively moved to a hold position to engage with and to hold an adjusting member and is actively moved to a release position to disengage from and to release the adjusting member;
- the external engagement assembly is securely locked by an external lock mechanism in the hold position to hold the adjusting member;
- and
- an internal engagement assembly that is passively moved to a release position to disengage from and to release the adjusting member when the retainer mechanism is tilted to a first orientation, independent of a lock status of the external engagement assembly;
- wherein:
- external engagement assembly operations and internal engagement assembly operations are unconditionally independent of each other and
- wherein:
- a section of the internal engagement assembly extends out of an opening of a retainer member.
5 more elements
A retainer mechanism, comprising:
- a retainer member;
- and
- an adjusting member associated with the retainer member;
- the retainer member includes:
- an external engagement assembly that is actively moved to a hold position to engage with and to hold the adjusting member and is actively moved to a release position to disengage from and to release the adjusting member;
- an internal engagement assembly that is passively moved to a hold position to engage with and to hold the adjusting member and is actively moved to a release position to disengage from and to release the adjusting member, independent of the external engagement assembly;
- wherein:
- the retainer member passively releases the adjusting member when the retainer member is tilted to a first orientation, independent of the external engagement assembly;
- wherein:
- external engagement assembly operations and internal engagement assembly operations are unconditionally independent of each other and
- wherein:
- a section of the internal engagement assembly extends out of an opening of the retainer member.
