Abstract
Systems for cutting stored materials and for storing elongated and flexible supplies are disclosed. According to an aspect, a system includes a sled comprising a body that defines a plurality of compartments for holding objects. Example objects include, but are not limited to, tools, supplies, tape, electronic devices, zip ties, spools of supplies or materials, and keys. The body further defines a channel that extends between one of the compartments and an opening. The system also includes a cutting mechanism positioned adjacent the channel and configured to cut and/or tear a material stored within the one of the compartments.
Claims17
A system comprising:
- a sled comprising a body that defines a plurality of compartments for holding objects, wherein the body comprises a top portion and a bottom portion, wherein the plurality of compartment are defined within the bottom portion, wherein the body further defines a channel having a first end and a second end, wherein the channel is connected to one of the compartments at the first end, and wherein the channel is connected to an opening at the second end,
- wherein in a closed configuration, the top portion is positioned over the compartments for substantially enclosing the compartments, and
- wherein in an open configuration, the top portion and the bottom portion are apart such that the compartments are accessible;
- a cord including a first end and a second end, wherein the first end of the cord is attached to the top portion, wherein the second end of the cord is attached to the bottom portion, and wherein in the open configuration the top portion is rotatable with respect to the bottom portion in a plurality of directions via attachment of the top portion to the bottom portion;
- and
- a cutting mechanism positioned adjacent the channel and configured to cut and/or tear a material stored within the one of the compartments.
A system comprising:
- a sled comprising a body that defines a plurality of compartments for holding objects, wherein the body comprises a top portion and a bottom portion, wherein the plurality of compartment are defined within the bottom portion, wherein the body further defines a channel having a first end and a second end, wherein the channel is connected to one of the compartments at the first end, and wherein the channel is connected to an opening at the second end,
- wherein in a closed configuration, the top portion is positioned over the compartments for substantially enclosing the compartments, and
- wherein in an open configuration, the top portion and the bottom portion are apart such that the compartments are accessible;
- and
- a cord including a first end and a second end, wherein the first end of the cord is attached to the top portion, wherein the second end of the cord is attached to the bottom portion, and wherein in the open configuration the top portion is rotatable with respect to the bottom portion in a plurality of directions via attachment of the top portion to the bottom portion.
