Abstract

Exercise apparatuses are described. An example exercise apparatus has a lengthwise axis and includes a first shaft, a first frame, a first handle, a second frame, and a second handle. The first shaft has a first shaft first end and a first shaft second end. The first frame is attached to the first shaft first end and defines a first frame passageway. The first handle is disposed within the first frame passageway such that the first handle can translate along the lengthwise axis and rotate within the first frame passageway. The second frame is attached to the first shaft second end and defines a second frame passageway. The second handle is disposed within the second frame passageway such that the second handle can translate along the lengthwise axis and rotate within the second frame passageway.

Dependent claims

An exercise apparatus having a lengthwise axis and comprising:

a first shaft having a first shaft first end and a first shaft second end;
a first frame attached to the first shaft first end, the first frame defining a first frame passageway having a length;
a first elongate bar disposable through the first frame;
a first handle rotatably attached to the first frame and disposed within the first frame passageway, the first handle comprising a ring member and a handle shaft attached to and disposed within the ring member, the first handle rotatable within the first frame passageway such that as the ring member rotates within the first frame passageway, an orientation of the handle shaft relative to the lengthwise axis changes,
wherein when the first elongate bar is not disposed through the first frame passageway:
the first handle translatable along said lengthwise axis and said length of the first frame passageway between a first position in which the first handle is disposed a first distance from the first shaft and a second position in which the first handle is disposed a second distance from the first shaft, the second distance being greater than the first distance, and
the first handle having 360 degrees of rotation within the first frame passageway,
wherein when the first elongate bar is disposed through the first frame passageway:
the first handle is fixed along said lengthwise axis and said length of the first a frame passageway and relative to the frame, while having 360 degrees of rotation within the first frame passageway;
a second frame attached to the first shaft second end, the second frame defining a second frame passageway;
and
a second handle rotatably attached to the second frame and disposed within the second frame passageway, the second handle rotatable within the second frame passageway and moveable along said lengthwise axis between a third position in which the second handle is disposed a third distance from the first shaft and a fourth position in which the second handle is disposed a fourth distance from the first shaft, the fourth distance being greater than the third distance.

An exercise apparatus having a lengthwise axis and comprising:

a frame having a housing and defining a frame passageway having a length, the housing having a first end and a second end;
a first elongate bar disposable through the frame;
and
a handle rotatably attached to the frame and disposed within the frame passageway, the handle comprising a ring member and a handle shaft attached to and disposed within the ring member, the handle rotatable within the frame passageway such that as the ring member rotates within the frame passageway, an orientation of the handle shaft relative to the lengthwise axis changes,
wherein when the first elongate bar is not disposed through the frame passageway:
the handle translatable along said lengthwise axis and said length of the frame passageway between a first position in which the handle is disposed a first distance from the first end of the housing and a second position in which the handle is disposed a second distance from the first end of the housing, the second distance being greater than the first distance, and
the handle having 360 degrees of rotation within the frame passageway, and
wherein when the first elongate bar is disposed through the frame passageway:
the handle is fixed along said lengthwise axis and said length of the frame passageway and relative to the frame, while having 360 degrees of rotation within the frame passageway.
