Abstract
A predictive map including predictive values of an agricultural characteristic of a worksite is obtained. An in-situ value of the agricultural characteristic is identified based on a sensor signal provided by an in-situ sensor. A corrected predictive map, including corrected predictive values of the agricultural characteristic, is generated based on the in-situ value of the agricultural characteristic. A controllable subsystem of a work machine is controlled based on the location of the work machine and the corrected predictive map.
Claims20
A method of controlling a harvester comprising:
- obtaining, as a first map of a worksite, a predictive map including predictive values of an agricultural characteristic of the worksite;
- identifying, during a current harvesting cycle at the worksite, an in-situ value of the agricultural characteristic based on a sensor signal provided by an in-situ sensor;
- generating, during the current harvesting cycle at the worksite, as a second map of the worksite, a corrected predictive map including corrected predictive values of the agricultural characteristic based on the in-situ value of the agricultural characteristic;
- and
- controlling, during the current harvesting cycle at the worksite, a controllable subsystem of the harvester based on a location of the harvester and the corrected predictive map.
A harvester comprising:
- a communication system configured to obtain a predictive map including predictive values of an agricultural characteristic of a worksite;
- a controllable subsystem;
- an in-situ sensor configured to generate a sensor signal indicative of an in-situ value of the agricultural characteristic as the harvester is operating during a current harvesting cycle at the worksite;
- a map generation system, implemented by one or more processors, configured to generate, as the harvester is operating during the current harvesting cycle at the worksite, a corrected predictive map including corrected predictive values of the agricultural characteristic based on the sensor signal indicative of the in-situ value of the agricultural characteristic;
- and
- a control system configured to, as the harvester is operating during the current harvesting cycle, control the controllable subsystem of the harvester based on a location of the harvester and the corrected predictive map.
A predictive map generation system comprising:
- a communication system configured to receive an image of vegetation at a worksite;
- and
- a processor configured to:
- generate, during a current harvesting cycle at the worksite, a predictive map including predictive values of an agricultural characteristic of the worksite based on the image of vegetation at the worksite;
- and
- generate, during the current harvesting cycle at the worksite, a corrected predictive map including corrected predictive values of the agricultural characteristic of the worksite based on a sensor signal that is indicative of an in-situ value of the agricultural characteristic, the sensor signal provided by an in-situ sensor associated with a harvester while the harvester is operating during the current harvesting cycle at the worksite.
