Abstract
A hearing device and a method for charging a hearing device is provided, the hearing device comprising an interface comprising a wireless transceiver configured for wireless communication with a charging device; and a power module comprising a charging controller and a receiving coil for wireless charging of a battery positioned in the hearing device; wherein the charging controller is configured to: obtain a first charging parameter; determine a primary charging scheme based on the first charging parameter; and transmit a primary charging indicator indicative of the primary charging scheme via the wireless transceiver.
Claims15
A hearing device configured to be worn at an ear of a user, the hearing device comprising:
- an interface configured for communication with a charging device;
- a power module comprising a charging controller configured to control a charging of a battery for the hearing device;
- and
- a temperature sensor configured to provide temperature data;
- wherein the charging controller is configured to:
- obtain the temperature data as a first charging parameter indicative of a temperature associated with the hearing device, and determine a primary charging scheme based on the first charging parameter;
- and
- wherein the charging controller is configured to determine the primary charging scheme by selecting a first charging scheme from a set of charging schemes as the primary charging scheme, wherein the charging schemes in the set are associated with different respective charging power levels.
A hearing device configured to be worn at an ear of a user, the hearing device comprising:
- an interface configured for communication with a charging device;
- a power module comprising a charging controller configured to control a charging of a battery for the hearing device;
- and
- a temperature sensor configured to provide temperature data;
- wherein the charging controller is configured to:
- obtain the temperature data as a first charging parameter indicative of a temperature associated with the hearing device, and determine a primary charging scheme based on the first charging parameter;
- wherein the charging controller is configured to select a first charging scheme from a set of charging schemes as the primary charging scheme if a first criterion is satisfied;
- and
- wherein the charging controller is configured to select a second charging scheme from the set of charging schemes as the primary charging scheme if the second criterion is satisfied.
A hearing device configured to be worn at an ear of a user, the hearing device comprising:
- an interface configured for communication with a charging device;
- a power module comprising a charging controller configured to control a charging of a battery for the hearing device;
- and
- a temperature sensor configured to provide temperature data;
- wherein the charging controller is configured to:
- obtain the temperature data as a first charging parameter indicative of a temperature associated with the hearing device, and determine a primary charging scheme based on the first charging parameter;
- and
- wherein the primary charging scheme is based on a current charging scheme.
A hearing device configured to be worn at an ear of a user, the hearing device comprising:
- an interface configured for communication with a charging device;
- a power module comprising a charging controller configured to control a charging of a battery for the hearing device;
- and
- a temperature sensor configured to provide temperature data;
- wherein the charging controller is configured to:
- obtain the temperature data as a first charging parameter indicative of a temperature associated with the hearing device, and determine a primary charging scheme based on the first charging parameter;
- and wherein the interface is configured to provide a primary charging indicator indicative of the primary charging scheme;
- and
- wherein the primary charging indicator comprises multiple bits.
