Abstract
The present disclosure provides a water filter device generated using animal bone. In some embodiments, the water filter device comprises a tube containing a series of layers of animal bone granules.
Claims13
A method of generating a water filter device comprising:
- (a) obtaining an animal bone;
- (b) boiling the animal bone to remove oil;
- (c) drying the animal bone;
- (d) grinding the animal bone to bone granules;
- (e) sieving the bone granules into:
- coarse size granules having a diameter of 0.4-0.8 mm,
- medium size granules having a diameter of 0.2-0.4 mm, and
- fine size granules having a diameter of less than 0.2 mm;
- (f) obtaining a tube having a top end and a bottom end, wherein the bottom end is covered with a water permeable barrier;
- and
- (g) placing the bone granules in the tube, in an order from the bottom end of the tube to the top end of the tube:
- a first layer of coarse size granules,
- a layer of fine size granules,
- a layer of medium size granules, and
- a second layer of coarse size granules.
