Abstract
Devices for generating and releasing vapor. In particular, described herein are portable devices for generating a low-temperature inhalable vapor having an elongated tubular body containing a vaporization chamber and a battery-powered heater, a removable mouthpiece covering the vaporization chamber, a display configured to indicate the temperature of the vaporization chamber; a microcontroller configured to regulate the temperature of the vaporization chamber, and a control to select from among a variety of temperature settings.
Claims32
A portable vaporization device for generating an inhalable vapor, the device comprising:
- a mouthpiece with an inhalation passage for delivering an inhalable vapor to a user;
- a case with a low temperature vaporization chamber and a hinged door;
- a heater, the chamber being configured to receive a smokeable material cartridge, access to the chamber being controlled by the hinged door, and the heater being operable to heat a smokeable material in the vaporization chamber to generate a vapor in the chamber;
- and
- a control configured to allow the user to select a target temperature from a variety of temperature settings;
- wherein at least one of the mouthpiece and the case is provided with an air inlet, the air inlet configured such that when a user draws on the device, fresh air enters through the air inlet, mixes with the vapor in the vaporization chamber, and the inhalable vapor formed by the mixture is delivered to the user via the inhalation passage.
A portable vaporization device for generating an inhalable vapor, the device comprising:
- a case with a low temperature vaporization chamber and a door;
- a heater, the chamber being configured to receive a smokeable material cartridge, access to the chamber being controlled by the door, and the heater being operable to heat a smokeable material in the vaporization chamber to generate a vapor in the chamber;
- and
- a control configured to allow the user to select a target temperature from a variety of temperature settings;
- wherein the case is provided with an air inlet, the air inlet configured such that when a user draws on the device, fresh air enters through the air inlet, mixes with the vapor in the vaporization chamber, and an inhalable vapor formed by the mixture is delivered to the user.
A device for generating an inhalable vapor, comprising:
- an electric heater including a vaporization chamber configured to contains a smokeable material, the heater configured to generate the inhalable vapor by heating the vaporization chamber and the smokeable material contained therein,
- a door configured to control access to the vaporization chamber,
- a control means which enables a user to select an operating temperature of the vaporization chamber from a plurality of temperature settings, and
- one or more light-emitting diode(s) configured to provide feedback relating to states of the device,
- wherein the states of the device provided by the one or more light-emitting diode(s) include indications such that:
- a) the device is on,
- b) the vaporization chamber is below a prescribed operating temperature, and
- c) the vaporization chamber has reached a prescribed operating temperature.
A portable vaporization device for generating an inhalable vapor, the device comprising:
- a case with a vaporization chamber, the vaporization chamber configured to receive a vaporizable material;
- and
- a heater being operable to heat the vaporizable material received in the vaporization chamber to generate a vapor in the vaporization chamber in a space immediately above the vaporizable material,
- wherein the case is provided with an air inlet, the air inlet being disposed laterally through the case toward the space immediately above the vaporizable material when the vaporizable material is received within the vaporization chamber, the air inlet being further configured such that, in use of the device, when a user draws on the device, fresh air enters through the air inlet, mixes with the vapor in the space immediately above the vaporizable material within the vaporization chamber to form a mixture, and the inhalable vapor formed by the mixture is delivered to the user via the inhalation passage, a diameter of the air inlet being sized to partially inhibit inhalation and increase a velocity of the fresh air entering the space immediately above the vaporizable material during use of the device.
