Abstract
A wearable electronic device displays an impact location that shows where a projectile fired from a weapon will hit a target and displays a bullseye location that shows a desired location where to hit the target. The wearable electronic device indicates firing the weapon when the impact location overlaps with the bullseye location.
Claims19
An electronic scope that attaches to a rifle held by a user, the electronic scope comprising:
- one or more sensors that determine an outdoor temperature and an altitude where the electronic scope is located;
- wireless communication that wirelessly receives, from a second electronic scope, a location of an object as a target;
- a laser rangefinder that determines a distance to the object;
- a processor that determines, based on the distance to the object, the outdoor temperature, and the altitude, an impact location where a bullet fired from the rifle will hit;
- and
- a display that shows the object seen through the display and displays a virtual reticle at the impact location where the bullet fired from the rifle will hit based on the distance to the object, the outdoor temperature, and the altitude determined by the electronic scope.
3 more elements
An electronic scope that attaches to a rifle of a user, the electronic scope comprising:
- one or more sensors that determine environmental conditions where the electronic scope is located;
- wireless communication that wirelessly receives, from another electronic scope, a location of an object that is a target;
- a processor that calculates, from the environmental conditions and a distance to the object, a ballistic trajectory of a bullet fired from the rifle to determine an impact location where the bullet will hit;
- and
- a display that shows the object through the display and simultaneously displays a first virtual image as a reticle or dot at the impact location where the bullet fired from the rifle will hit and a second virtual image that identifies the object as being the target.
2 more elements
A method executed by an electronic scope that connects to a rifle held by a user, the method comprising:
- determining, with a laser rangefinder attached to the electronic scope, a distance to a target;
- transmitting, with wireless communication in the electronic scope, a location of the target to other electronic scopes in wireless communication with the electronic scope;
- determining, with one or more sensors in the electronic scope, environmental conditions that include altitude and temperature;
- calculating, in response to the user activating the electronic scope with a finger and based on the distance to the target and the environmental conditions, a ballistic trajectory that includes an impact location where a bullet fired from the rifle will hit;
- and
- displaying, with the electronic scope and while the target is shown through the display of the electronic scope, a virtual reticle or a virtual dot that shows the impact location where the bullet fired from the rifle will hit as calculated by the electronic scope.
