Abstract
The present invention relates to polypeptides having mannanase activity, catalytic domains, and carbohydrate binding modules, and polynucleotides encoding the polypeptides, catalytic domains, and carbohydrate binding modules. The invention also relates to nucleic acid constructs, vectors, and host cells comprising the polynucleotides as well as methods of producing and using the polypeptides, catalytic domains, and carbohydrate binding modules.
Claims19
A process for degrading mannan, comprising applying to the mannan a polypeptide having mannanase activity, wherein the polypeptide has at least 93% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 4.
A process for degrading a cellulosic material, comprising treating the cellulosic material with one or more cellulases and a polypeptide having mannanase activity, wherein the polypeptide:
- (a) has at least 93% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 4;
- or
- (b) is a fragment of SEQ ID NO:
- 4 which has mannanase activity.
