Recyclable, easily tearable packaging laminate having a good barrier effect and method for production thereof

A packaging laminate comprising

• a first laminate and a second laminate,
• the second laminate having a thickness between 20 μm and 200 μm and having a polyethylene content of at least 80% by volume,
• the first laminate having been formed by coextruding a substrate layer with a HDPE content of at least 60% by volume, a bonding layer, and a barrier layer,
• the thickness of the first laminate being between 10 μm and 40 μm,
• the thickness of the substrate layer being between 5 μm and 35 μm,
• the thickness of the bonding layer being between 1 μm and 5 μm,
• the barrier layer having polyamide and/or ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and having a thickness of at most 20% of the total thickness of the first laminate,
• the bonding layer being arranged between the substrate layer and the barrier layer,
• the first laminate being stretched in machine direction only,
• the first laminate is bonded to the second laminate via its barrier layer after the first laminate is stretched, and
• wherein said packaging laminate is tearable in both the machine direction and a transverse direction perpendicular to the machine direction.
