A method for providing contraception to a human subject desiring contraception comprising orally administering to the subject once a day a dosage form comprising about 0.230 mg of norgestrel (NG) to about 0.290 mg of NG and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient for a treatment period of at least twenty-eight days.
