Abstract
Methods for prophylaxis, treatment, and reduction of infection, re-infection, and transmission rates of Coronaviruses and more particularly Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) resulting from a SARS-CoV-2 viral infection with the use of a pharmaceutical preparation comprising one or more coated or uncoated digestive enzymes, such as pancreatic enzymes and porcine pancreatic enzymes are described herein.

A method for reducing a transmission rate of a Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV-2) infection in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a pharmaceutical composition that comprises digestive enzymes, wherein the digestive enzymes comprise a protease, an amylase, and a lipase, wherein the digestive enzymes are provided as pancreatin, and wherein the transmission rate of the SARS-CoV-2 infection is reduced.
