Abstract
An optical sight includes a lens assembly, a digital reticle display, a magnification adjuster, and a controller. The magnification adjuster is configured to be adjusted by a user. The controller is configured to display a reticle on the digital reticle display based on a real-time magnification, and is configured to determine the real-time magnification based on a position of the magnification adjuster.
Claims19
A method of adjusting a reticle display comprising:
- detecting, by a controller, movement of a magnification adjuster;
- determining, by the controller, a real-time magnification from the detecting the movement of the magnification adjuster;
- determining, by the controller, a magnification of a reticle based on the real-time magnification, the reticle including a primary aiming point and a secondary aiming point;
- calculating, with the controller, range and ballistic drop based on the primary aiming point;
- after the calculating, displaying the secondary aiming point of the reticle on a digital display;
- and
- estimating, with the controller, an impact point based on the range and ballistic drop, wherein the secondary aiming point indicates the impact point.
