Belt

A belt for a paper, board, pulp, or tissue machine, arranged to be disposed to run over an installation surface with oil lubricant applied therebetween, the belt comprising:

• a belt body comprising a body material, the belt body having portions defining a belt body inner surface and a belt outer surface;
• a reinforcing structure within the body material;
• solid lubricant particles selected from the group consisting of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), and graphite disposed in a layer underlying the belt body inner surface, such that portions of the solid lubricant particles are exposed from the body material to define at least 5 percent of the belt inner surface, wherein a plurality of the solid lubricant particles are spaced apart from one another to define a plurality of spaces therebetween, the spaces being disposed to support the applied oil lubricant between the solid lubricant particles, thereby being arranged to reduce a friction between the belt and the installation surface, and wherein portions of the solid lubricant particles are exposed from the body material to define at least 5 percent of the belt inner surface.
