An information processing apparatus comprising:

• at least one memory configured to store computer program code;
• and
• at least one processor configured to read the program code and operate as instructed by the program code, the program code comprising:
• capturing code configured to cause at least one of the at least one processor to capture an image that includes a packaging box body and an article;
• first obtaining code configured to cause at least one of the at least one processor to obtain, based on the captured image, a feature point group corresponding to the article;
• second obtaining code configured to cause at least one of the at least one processor to obtain, based on inputting the feature point group into a pre-trained machine learning model, an abstracted object with a shape corresponding to an abstracted shape of the article;
• and
• estimating code configured to cause at least one of the at least one processor to estimate, based the abstracted object, a size of the article, wherein
• information regarding the estimated size of the article is applied to a prescribed process concerning trading of the article,
• wherein, in the packaging box body, at least two lateral surfaces that are adjacent to each other are defined as target surfaces, and a code image is formed on each of the target surfaces, and
• wherein the estimating code is configured to cause at least one of the at least one processor to:
• acquire information about the size of the article by using the code images formed on the target surfaces of the packaging box body on a basis of the captured image;
• and
• estimate the size of the article based on a ratio between:
• a first size of the packaging box body obtained based on at least one code image in the captured image, and
• a second size of the packaging box body in pixels in the captured image.
