Claims27
A plant or plant part of cucumber variety NUN 83071 CUL wherein a representative sample of seed of said cucumber variety is deposited under Accession Number NCIMB 43947.
A method of producing a cucumber plant with a desired trait, comprising mutating a plant or plant part of variety NUN 83071 CUL and selecting a mutated plant with a desired trait, wherein the mutated plant otherwise has all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of cucumber variety NUN 83071 CUL when grown under the same environmental conditions, wherein a representative sample of seed of said cucumber variety is deposited under Accession Number NCIMB 43947, and wherein the desired trait is male sterility, herbicide tolerance, insect resistance, pest resistance, disease resistance, Powdery mildew resistance without necrosis, environmental stress tolerance, modified carbohydrate metabolism, modified protein metabolism, or ripening.
A method of producing a modified cucumber plant, said method comprising mutating a target gene in a cucumber plant or a plant part of cucumber variety NUN 83071 CUL, wherein a representative sample of said cucumber variety is deposited under Accession Number NCIMB 43947, and wherein the target gene is mutated by targeted gene editing.
