Abstract
An anti-collision device for a vehicle utilizes an electromechanical brake (EMB). The anti-collision device is operable when the vehicle is parked in neutral, and may include a distance detection device for detecting a distance from a structure outside the vehicle, an EMB braking device for generating braking force in the vehicle, and an anti-collision control device for operating the EMB braking device in one of at least two anti-collision modes based on the distance detected by the distance detection device.
Claims20
An anti-collision device for a vehicle using an electromechanical brake (EMB), comprising:
- a distance detection device configured to detect a distance from a structure outside the vehicle;
- an EMB braking device configured to generate braking force in the vehicle;
- and
- an anti-collision controller comprising a processor and a memory, the processor configured to operate the EMB braking device in one of at least two anti-collision modes based on the distance detected by the distance detection device.
An anti-collision method of a vehicle using an electromechanical brake (EMB), the anti-collision method comprising:
- determining whether the vehicle is neutrally parked;
- detecting, by a distance detection device, a distance between the vehicle and an external structure;
- and
- operating an EMB braking device based on the distance detected in the detecting of the distance between the vehicle and the external structure,
- wherein the EMB braking device is configured to operate in one of at least two anti-collision modes selected according to the detected distance.
