A remote stop system for a vehicle configured to be operated autonomously or semi-autonomously. The remote stop system includes a mechanical remote stop system configured to apply a first braking force and an electrical remote stop system configured to apply a second braking force. A remote stop actuator is configured to send a wireless control signal to the vehicle.
