A covering means is provided for a component of an electrical drive system having or consisting of a first metallic layer, wherein the first metallic layer is equipped to be vibration-damping.

A covering means for a component of an electrical drive system having or consisting of a first metallic layer,
- wherein the first metallic layer is equipped to be vibration-damping,
- wherein the first metallic layer has first regions in which the first metallic layer has at least one cutout, and
- wherein for one, a plurality of, or all of the first regions, the first region has a cutout, with a diaphragm being arranged encircling the peripheral edge of the cutout and/or completely covering the cutout.
