Image display apparatus, and video wall including the same

An image display apparatus comprising:

• a panel including a plurality of light emitting diodes;
• and
• a driving controller for outputting a scan signal to the panel for each of a plurality of subframe periods, and outputting a data signal to the panel for displaying an image,
• wherein the plurality of light emitting diodes are divided into a plurality of groups,
• wherein the driving controller divides at least some subframe periods among the plurality of subframe periods into a plurality of group periods, and separately drive each the plurality of groups during at least some periods among the plurality of group periods based on a first mode, and drive the light emitting diodes without dividing into the plurality of group periods based on a second mode.

A video wall comprising:

• a plurality of image display apparatuses,
• wherein the image display apparatus comprises:
• a panel including a plurality of light emitting diodes;
• and
• a driving controller t for outputting a scan signal to the panel for each of a plurality of subframe periods, and outputting a data signal to the panel for displaying an image,
• wherein the plurality of light emitting diodes are divided into a plurality of groups,
• wherein the driving controller divides at least some subframe periods among the plurality of subframe periods into a plurality of group periods, and separately drives each the plurality of groups during at least some periods among the plurality of group periods.
