Photocurable silicone compositions and process for manufacture of release liners

A photocurable silicone composition comprising:

• (i) a vinyl functional polysiloxane of the formula (Ia):
• M1ViD1VicD2dM1Vi (Ia)
• where M1vi is (R1)(R2)(CH2═CH)SiO1/2;
• D1Vi is (R6)(CH2═CH))SiO2/2;
• D2 is (R7)(R8)SiO2/2;
• R1, R2, R3, R5, R6, R7, and R8 are each independently a C1-C10 saturated hydrocarbon radical;
• c is 0;
• and d is 50-250;
• (ii) a hydride functional siloxane selected from a compound of the formula (IIa), (IIb), or (IIc):
• M4D3HjD4kM4Q2 (IIa)
• M4D3HjM4 (IIb)
• M3HhQ2 (IIc)
• where
• M3H=(R10)(R11)(H)SiO1/2
• M4=(R12)(R13)(R14)SiO1/2
• D3H=(R15)(H)SiO2/2
• D4=(R16)(R17)SiO2/2
• Q2=SiO4/2
• wherein R10, R11, R12, R13, R14, R15, R16, R17, and R18 are each independently a C1-C10 saturated hydrocarbon, j+k in formaula (IIa) is 10-40, j in formula (IIb) is 10-40, and h is 2 in formula (IIc);
• (iii) a photoactive catalyst selected from one or more of a platinum-cyclopentadiene complex of the formula (i) R19CpPtR203, where R19 and R20 are each methyl, and Cp is a cyclopentadiene group, wherein the bond between Cp and Pt is an eta bond;
• and/or (ii) [1-methyl-3-(1′-naphthyl)-cyclopentadienyl]trimethyl platinum;
• [1-methyl-3-(2′-naphthyl)-cyclopentadienyl]trimethyl platinum;
• and (iv) an acid-anhydride functional polysiloxane compound of the formula:
• M5AD5oD6ApD7HqM5A
• where M5A is (R21)(R22) (R23)SiO1/2
• D5 is (R24)(R25)SiO2/2,
• D6A is (R26)(R27)SiO2/2
• D7H=(R28)(H)SiO2/2
• where R21, R22, R24, R25, R26, and R28 are each methyl;
• R23 and R27 each independently represents an acid-anhydride functional group derived from the reaction of allyl succinic anhydride with Si(H) functionality;
• o+q is 10-40, and p is 1-20;
• wherein the composition cures when processed at a speed of from about 100 to about 750 feet per minute.
