Abstract
A process can be used for the functionalization of graphene material by mixing graphene material with at least one silane. The functionalized graphene material is useful, for example, in thermoplastics.
Claims18
A process for the functionalization of graphene material, the process comprising:
- reacting the graphene material at least partially with at least one silane,
- wherein the at least partial reaction is carried out during mixing of the at least one silane with the graphene material, wherein the
- amount of silane is 5 to 40% by weight, wherein the sum of the mass fraction of the silane and graphene material is 100% by weight, and
- wherein the at least one silane is selected from the group consisting of 3-glycidyloxypropyltriethoxysilane [GLYEO], 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane [AMEO], glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane [GLYMO], 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane [AMMO], and a mixture thereof.
