Abstract
A device for containing bone graft material comprises a body including an inner sleeve extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and an outer sleeve surrounding the inner sleeve and extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end such that a bone graft collecting space is formed therebetween.
Claims15
A device for containing bone graft material, comprising:
- a flexible inner sleeve extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end, wherein the flexible inner sleeve is formed from a non-bone material and is configured to adapt to a size and shape of an intramedullary rod inserted through a medullary canal of a bone, the non-bone material being one or more of:
- a polymer material;
- a collagen material;
- a polyurethane material;
- a metal material;
- a ceramic material;
- and/or polyetheretherketone;
- and
- an outer sleeve surrounding the inner sleeve and extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end such that a bone graft collecting space is formed therebetween.
