Abstract
In one embodiment, a method includes displaying functions associated with a remote device at a wearable computing device, wherein the remote device is paired with the wearable computing device, receiving a user input from a user at the wearable computing device, determining intended operations of one or more of the functions by the user based on the user input, sending instructions for executing the intended operations of the one or more of the functions associated with the remote device to the remote device, and displaying execution results of the intended operations of the one or more of the functions associated with the remote device at the wearable computing device.
Claims20
A method comprising, by a wearable computing device:
- displaying, at the wearable computing device, a single interactive element comprising (1) an identification of a remote device and (2) a status of the remote device, wherein:
- when displayed on the wearable device, the single interactive element is the only interactive element related to the remote device displayed on the wearable device and an interaction with any portion of the single interactive element results in the same functionality as an interaction with any other portion of the single interactive element;
- the single interactive element controls one or more functions associated with the remote device, and interacting with the single interactive element changes at least one of the functions of the remote device;
- the remote device is paired with the wearable computing device;
- and
- the single interactive element is one of a plurality of single interactive elements, each single interactive element identifying a particular remote device and a status of that particular remote device, and wherein (1) only one single interactive element of the plurality of single interactive elements is displayed on a display of the wearable device at a time and (2) each of the plurality of single interactive elements fills at least a majority of the display the wearable device when displayed on the display of the wearable device;
- receiving, at the wearable computing device, a user input, on at least a portion of the single interactive element comprising the status of the remote device, from a user;
- determining, based on the user input, one or more intended operations of one or more of the functions;
- sending, to the remote device, instructions for executing the intended operations of the one or more of the functions associated with the remote device;
- and
- displaying, at the wearable computing device, execution results of the intended operations of the one or more of the functions associated with the remote device, comprising updating a display of at least the portion of the single interactive element comprising the status of the remote device and on which the user input was received to identify, on the portion of the single interactive element, a changed status of the remote device.
A wearable computing device comprising:
- one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media including instructions;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the storage media, the one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to:
- display, at the wearable computing device, a single interactive element comprising (1) an identification of a remote device and (2) a status of the remote device, wherein;
- when displayed on the wearable device, the single interactive element is the only interactive element related to the remote device displayed on the wearable device and an interaction with any portion of the single interactive element results in the same functionality as an interaction with any other portion of the single interactive element;
- the single interactive element controls one or more functions associated with the remote device, and interacting with the single interactive element changes at least one of the functions of the remote device;
- the remote device is paired with the wearable computing device;
- and
- the single interactive element is one of a plurality of single interactive elements, each single interactive element identifying a particular remote device and a status of that particular remote device, and wherein (1) only one single interactive element of the plurality of single interactive elements is displayed on a display of the wearable device at a time and (2) each of the plurality of single interactive elements fills at least a majority of the display the wearable device when displayed on the display of the wearable device;
- receive, at the wearable computing device, a user input, on at least a portion of the single interactive element comprising the status of the remote device, from a user;
- determine, based on the user input, one or more intended operations of one or more of the functions;
- send, to the remote device, instructions for executing the intended operations of the one or more of the functions associated with the remote device;
- and
- display, at the wearable computing device, execution results of the intended operations of the one or more of the functions associated with the remote device, by updating a display of at least the portion of the interactive element comprising the status of the remote device and on which the user input was received to identify, on the portion of the single interactive element, a changed status of the remote device.
A computer-readable non-transitory storage media comprising instructions executable by a processor to:
- display, at the wearable computing device, a single interactive element comprising (1) an identification of a remote device and (2) a status of the remote device, wherein;
- when displayed on the wearable device, the single interactive element is the only interactive element related to the remote device displayed on the wearable device and an interaction with any portion of the single interactive element results in the same functionality as an interaction with any other portion of the single interactive element;
- the single interactive element controls one or more functions associated with the remote device, and interacting with the single interactive element changes at least one of the functions of the remote device;
- the remote device is paired with the wearable computing device;
- and
- the single interactive element is one of a plurality of single interactive elements, each single interactive element identifying a particular remote device and a status of that particular remote device, and wherein (1) only one single interactive element of the plurality of single interactive elements is displayed on a display of the wearable device at a time and (2) each of the plurality of single interactive elements fills at least a majority of the display the wearable device when displayed on the display of the wearable device;
- receive, at the wearable computing device, a user input, on at least a portion of the single interactive element comprising the status of the remote device, from a user;
- determine, based on the user input, one or more intended operations of one or more of the functions;
- send, to the remote device, instructions for executing the intended operations of the one or more of the functions associated with the remote device;
- and
- display, at the wearable computing device, execution results of the intended operations of the one or more of the functions associated with the remote device, by updating a display of at least the portion of the interactive element comprising the status of the remote device and on which the user input was received to identify, on the portion of the single interactive element, a changed status of the remote device.
