Abstract
A system in a water body uses buoyant force of gaseous Hydrogen and Oxygen to generate electrical power with one or more turbines that includes power resulting from the buoyant force while transporting the Hydrogen or Oxygen to a higher elevation, without loss of electrons, for conversion to electricity at the higher elevation. Conversion of Hydrogen and Oxygen to water through a Hydrogen Fuel Cell or by burning at the higher elevation may generate additional steam power, hydropower, or purified water. Portable submersible modules may transport the system below or above the water to and from the base of a plumbing portion of the system. The amount of gaseous fuel energy available at the higher elevation is not detrimentally impacted by the generation of electricity by the turbine.
Claims20
A system, comprising:
- at least one plumbing component, configured to provide at least one partially-buoyancy motivated flow of Hydrogen gas to at least one gas-to-fuel (“GTF”) process, wherein the partially-buoyancy motivated flow of Hydrogen gas partially results from at least one reverse osmosis device located below the surface of a body of water such that gravity facilitates forcing water from the body of water through the reverse osmosis device to result in purified water, wherein the at least one partially-buoyancy motivated flow of Hydrogen gas is generated based on the purified water.
A system, comprising:
- at least one hydrolysis device that receives electrical power from at least one electrical power source;
- at least one reverse osmosis device that provides purified water to the at least one hydrolysis device;
- and
- at least one plumbing component via which partially-buoyancy motivated Hydrogen gas is provided to at least one gas-to-fuel (“GTF”) process,
- wherein weight of water due to gravity at least partially forces water through the at least one reverse osmosis device to result in the purified water, wherein the at least one hydrolysis device generates the partially-buoyancy motivated Hydrogen gas based on the purified water, and wherein the partially-buoyancy motivated Hydrogen gas is provided from the at least one hydrolysis device to the at least one GTF process, via the at least one plumbing component without pumping, at at least one elevation that is higher than the at least one hydrolysis device.
A method, comprising:
- providing at least one hydrolysis device, adapted to receive electrical power from an electrical power source, and at least one reverse osmosis device that provides purified water to the at least one hydrolysis device at a first elevation below the surface of a body of water such that weight of the water due to gravity forces water through the reverse osmosis device;
- and
- wherein an output of the at least one hydrolysis device provides at least one flow of Hydrogen gas that is directed to at least one gas-to-fuel process (“GTF”) at a second elevation that is higher than the first elevation without additional pumping.
