Abstract
The present invention provides novel antigens of an allergy to soybean, methods and kits for diagnosing an allergy to soybean, pharmaceutical compositions comprising such an antigen, soybeans or processed products of soybean in which such an antigen is eliminated, and a tester for determining the presence or absence of a soybean antigen in an object of interest.
Claims5
A method for detecting binding between a soybean antigen and an antibody that specifically binds to the soybean antigen present in a sample,
- wherein the method uses a kit that comprises the soybean antigen,
- wherein the soybean antigen is a Bowman-Birk type proteinase inhibitor D-II antigen comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 2,
- wherein the soybean antigen specifically binds to IgE antibody from a patient having allergy to soybean, wherein the soybean antigen is immobilized to a carrier or a surface,
- wherein the method comprises:
- (i) contacting the antibody in the sample with the soybean antigen from the kit, and
- (ii) detecting binding between said soybean antigen and the antibody in the sample.

- wherein the soybean antigen specifically binds to IgE antibody from a patient having allergy to soybean, wherein the kit further comprises a reagent that detects binding between said soybean antigen and said antibody;
- wherein the method comprises:
- (i) contacting the antibody in the sample with the soybean antigen from the kit, and
