Abstract
Immunogenic compositions comprising viral vectors and surfactants are provided. Methods for administration and preparation of such compositions are also provided.
Claims51
An immunogenic composition comprising an antigen, said antigen formulated in a solid amorphous carrier comprising:
- (i) PMAL-C16;
- or
- (ii) from about 0.1% to 10% of a zwitterionic surfactant;
- and
- wherein the antigen comprises at least one virus or viral antigen, at least one bacterium or bacterial antigen, at least one parasite or parasitic antigen, or a combination thereof.
A method for generating an immune response to an antigen in a mammal comprising, administering to the mammal an effective amount of an immunogenic composition comprising an antigen, said antigen formulated in a solid amorphous carrier comprising:
- (i) PMAL-C16;
- or
- (ii) from about 0.1% to 10% of a zwitterionic surfactant;
- and
- wherein the antigen comprises at least one virus or viral antigen, at least one bacteria or bacterial antigen, at least one parasite or parasitic antigen, or a combination thereof.
A method for generating an immune response to an antigen in a mammal comprising, administering to the mammal an effective amount of an immunogenic composition comprising an antigen, said antigen formulated in a pharmaceutically acceptable liquid carrier comprising:
- (i) PMAL-C16;
- or
- (ii) from about 0.1% to 10% of a zwitterionic surfactant;
- and
- wherein the antigen comprises at least one virus or viral antigen, at least one bacteria or bacterial antigen, at least one parasite or parasitic antigen, or a combination thereof.
