Abstract
Provided herein are novel methods for increasing T cell effector function in a T cell populations, as well as methods for increasing T cell effector function in a subject. The methods include contacting a T cell in a T cell population with a pharmaceutical composition comprising an antagonist of histone deacetylase 3 (HD) AC3). Also provided herein are methods for identifying a compound that modulates HDAC3 activity in cytotoxic T cells.
Claims8
A method for increasing T cell effector function in a T cell population, the method comprising contacting a T cell in the T cell population with a pharmaceutical composition comprising a histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) antagonist, wherein the HDAC3 antagonist is RGFP966 and wherein the effect of RGFP966 on T cell effector function is dose-dependent T cell cytotoxicity,
- wherein the pharmaceutical composition comprises a delivery vehicle that is a nanoparticle, and
- wherein the nanoparticle comprises a moiety that specifically binds to a T cell.
A method for increasing T cell effector function in a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising an HDAC3 antagonist, wherein the HDAC3 antagonist is RGFP966, and wherein the effect of RGFP966 on T cell effector function is dose-dependent T cell cytotoxicity,
- wherein the pharmaceutical composition comprises a delivery vehicle that is a nanoparticle, and
- wherein the nanoparticle comprises a moiety that specifically binds to a T cell.
