Abstract
Ultra-wideband (UWB) antennas are provided including a printed circuit board; a radiating element coupled to the printed circuit board and substantially perpendicular thereto; and radio frequency (RF) electronics associated with the antenna integrated with the printed circuit board. Related enclosures and systems are also provided.
Claims17
An antenna comprising:
- a printed circuit board;
- first and second radiating elements coupled to the printed circuit board and substantially perpendicular thereto, wherein the first radiating element is above a first surface of the printed circuit board and the second radiating element is below a second surface, opposite the first surface, of the printed circuit board, wherein the first and second radiating elements are flat, round and disc shaped and wherein the first and second radiating elements together provide a differential antenna;
- and
- radio frequency (RF) electronics associated with the antenna integrated with the printed circuit board.
