Abstract
A stacking ring for a chair base may be disposable between a first and second chair base such that the stacking ring generally prevents lateral movement of the first chair base relative to the second chair base. The stacking ring may be integrally formed to the chair base, or separate and disposable between at least two chair bases. The stacking ring may substantially prevent rotation of a first chair base relative to a second chair base.
Claims14
A method of preparing chair base stacks for transportation, the method comprising:
- preparing a chair base stack having a vertical stacking direction, by
- inserting a co-engagement ring of a first chair base hub into an orifice of a second chair base hub, wherein a plurality of arms extends outward, in a direction transverse to the stacking direction, from each of the first chair base hub and the second chair base hub;
- placing a first chair base stack on a transportation platform;
- and
- placing a second chair base stack on the transportation platform such that the plurality of arms extending outward from the first chair base stack and the plurality of arms extending outward from the second chair base stack are laterally interspersed.
