Abstract
An oxygen concentrator comprises a product tank that is fluidly coupled to at least one sieve bed, and a product gas accumulator tank that is fluidly coupled to the product tank via a first conduit and to an outlet port via a second conduit, wherein the first conduit and the second conduit are disposed to allow at least a portion of product gas to flow from the product tank to the outlet port.
Claims14
A method of providing oxygen therapy to a patient, the method comprising:
- delivering oxygen-enriched gas from at least one sieve bed of an oxygen concentrator to a product tank of the oxygen concentrator;
- regulating, with a pressure regulator of the oxygen concentrator arranged downstream of the product tank, pressure of the oxygen-enriched gas from a product tank pressure to a target delivery pressure;
- delivering said oxygen-enriched gas at said target delivery pressure to an accumulator tank of the oxygen concentrator, said accumulator tank arranged downstream of both of the product tank and the pressure regulator of the oxygen concentrator;
- delivering said oxygen-enriched gas at said target delivery pressure from said accumulator tank to an outlet port of the oxygen concentrator;
- and
- storing, with the accumulator tank, a quantity of the oxygen-enriched gas received from the product tank between each of a plurality of patient inspiratory efforts and supplying the stored oxygen-enriched gas to the outlet port during the plurality of patient inspiratory efforts.

A method of providing oxygen therapy to a patient, the method comprising:
- delivering oxygen-enriched gas from at least one sieve bed of an oxygen concentrator to a product tank of the oxygen concentrator;
- regulating, with a pressure regulator of the oxygen concentrator arranged downstream of the product tank, pressure of the oxygen-enriched gas from a product tank pressure to a target delivery pressure;
- delivering said oxygen-enriched gas at said target delivery pressure to an accumulator tank of the oxygen concentrator, said accumulator tank arranged downstream of both of the product tank and the pressure regulator of the oxygen concentrator;
- and
- delivering said oxygen-enriched gas at said target delivery pressure from said accumulator tank to an outlet port of the oxygen concentrator, said outlet port configured to be connected to a patient delivery device.
2 more elements
A method of providing oxygen therapy to a patient, the method comprising:
- delivering oxygen-enriched gas to a product tank of an oxygen concentrator;
- determining, using a tank pressure measurement device of the oxygen concentrator, one or more pressure measurements of the oxygen-enriched gas in the product tank;
- regulating, with a pressure regulator of the oxygen concentrator, pressure of the oxygen-enriched gas from a product tank pressure to a target delivery pressure based at least partly on the one or more pressure measurements, said pressure regulator arranged downstream of the product tank;
- delivering said oxygen-enriched gas at said target delivery pressure to an accumulator tank of the oxygen concentrator, said accumulator tank arranged downstream of both of the product tank and the pressure regulator of the oxygen concentrator;
- determining, using a flow measurement device of the oxygen concentrator, one or more flow measurements of the oxygen-enriched gas flowing from the product tank to the accumulator tank;
- controlling delivery of the oxygen-enriched gas to the accumulator tank of the oxygen concentrator based at least partly on said one or more flow measurements;
- and
- delivering said oxygen-enriched gas from said accumulator tank to an outlet port of the oxygen concentrator, said outlet port configured to be connected to a patient delivery device.
