Abstract
A method of administering a nanoparticle to a subject including: administering to the subject an effective amount of an antibody that binds to an antigen expressed on a surface of a brain endothelial cell such that a sufficient amount of the antibody can bind to the surface of the brain endothelial cell, where the antibody is conjugated to a 1st molecule. Then administering to the subject a nanoparticle that is coated with a 2nd molecule that binds to the 1st molecule under a physiological condition in a brain blood vessel such that the nanoparticle can bind to the 1st molecule that has attached to the surface of the brain endothelial cell.
Claims9
A method of administering a nanoparticle to a subject, comprising:
- administering to the subject an effective amount of an antibody that binds to an antigen expressed on a surface of a brain endothelial cell such that a sufficient amount of the antibody can bind to the surface of the brain endothelial cell, wherein the antibody is conjugated to a 1st molecule;
- and
- administering to the subject a nanoparticle that is coated with a 2nd molecule that binds to the 1st molecule under a physiological condition in a brain blood vessel such that the nanoparticle can bind to the 1st molecule that has attached to the surface of the brain endothelial cell,
- wherein the nanoparticle is administered after a completion of the administration of the antibody.
A combination kit comprising:
- an antibody that binds to an antigen expressed on a surface of a brain endothelial cell, wherein the antibody is conjugated to a 1st molecule;
- and
- a nanoparticle that is coated with a 2nd molecule that binds to the 1st molecule under a physiological condition in a brain blood vessel,
- wherein the nanoparticle can bind to the antibody that has attached to the surface of the brain endothelial cell through an interaction between the 1st molecule and the 2nd molecule.
A pharmaceutical composition, which is to be administered to a subject who has been administered with an antibody that binds to an antigen expressed on a surface of a brain endothelial cell, wherein the antibody is conjugated to a 1st molecule and the antibody is bound to the surface of the brain endothelial cell in the subject, comprising:
- a nanoparticle that is coated with a 2nd molecule that binds to the 1st molecule under a physiological condition in a brain blood vessel, wherein the nanoparticle can bind to the antibody that has attached to the surface of the brain endothelial cell through an interaction between the 1st molecule and the 2nd molecule.
A pharmaceutical composition, comprising an antibody that binds to an antigen expressed on a surface of a brain endothelial cell, wherein the antibody is conjugated to a 1st molecule, wherein the pharmaceutical composition is to be administered before administering to a subject a nanoparticle that is coated with a 2nd molecule that binds to the 1st molecule under a physiological condition in a brain blood vessel, wherein the nanoparticle can bind to the antibody that has attached to the surface of the brain endothelial cell through an interaction between the 1st molecule and the 2nd molecule.
