Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of an immunogenic composition that comprises a porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) antigen for treatment of several clinical manifestations (diseases). Preferably, the clinical manifestations are associated with a PCV3 infection.

A method of preventing PCV3 viremia in a piglet, wherein the method comprises administering a recombinant PCV3 ORF2 protein to a pregnant gilt or pregnant sow, and wherein the pregnant gilt or pregnant sow gives birth to the piglet.
A method of preventing PCV3 viremia in a piglet, wherein the method comprises administering a recombinant PCV3 ORF2 protein to a gilt or sow before pregnancy, wherein the gilt or sow becomes pregnant with the piglet, and wherein the pregnant gilt or sow gives birth to the piglet.
A method of preventing PCV3 viremia in a piglet, wherein the method comprises administering a recombinant PCV3 ORF2 protein to a gilt or sow before mating/insemination of the gilt or sow.
A method of preventing PCV3 viremia in a piglet, wherein the method comprises administering a recombinant PCV3 ORF2 protein to a pregnant gilt or pregnant sow, wherein the piglet is born by the sow;
- and wherein the piglet suckles from the sow.
