Display apparatus and electronic device

A display apparatus comprising:

• a first layer;
• and
• a second layer over the first layer,
• wherein the first layer comprises a driver circuit region,
• wherein the second layer comprises a pixel array,
• wherein the pixel array comprises a plurality of pixel regions,
• wherein the plurality of pixel regions comprises a first pixel region and a second pixel region,
• wherein the driver circuit region comprises a control circuit and a plurality of local driver circuits,
• wherein the plurality of local driver circuits comprises a first local driver circuit and a second local driver circuit, the first local driver circuit comprising a first source driver circuit and a first gate driver circuit and the second local driver circuit comprising a second source driver circuit and a second gate driver circuit,
• wherein each of the plurality of local driver circuits corresponds to any one of the plurality of pixel regions,
• wherein the first local driver circuit corresponds to the first pixel region,
• wherein the second local driver circuit corresponds to the second pixel region,
• wherein each of the plurality of local driver circuits is configured to output a driving signal for driving a plurality of pixels included in corresponding one of the plurality of pixel regions,
• wherein the control circuit is configured to determine a first region to be displayed and a second region not to be displayed by comparing an aspect ratio of an input image with an aspect ratio of the pixel array,
• wherein, for a first image, the control circuit is configured to assign both of the first pixel region and the second pixel region to at least a part of the first region,
• wherein, for the first image, the control circuit is configured to output a first control signal for driving the first pixel region to the first local driver circuit, and to output a second control signal for driving the second pixel region to the second local driver circuit,
• wherein, for a second image, the control circuit is configured to assign the first pixel region to at least a part of the first region, and to assign the second pixel region to at least a part of the second region, and
• wherein, for the second image, the control circuit is configured to output a third control signal for driving the first pixel region to the first local driver circuit, and to output a fourth control signal for stopping supply of a power source voltage of the second local driver circuit to the second local driver circuit.
