Abstract
Systems, methods, and apparatuses are described for detecting synchronization errors between audio and video signals. Scene changes may be detected based on anchor frames. Offsets between a scene change in a video signal and a reduced audio level or burst of high audio level in the audio signal may indicate a synchronization error.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- based on determining that a total quantity of dependent frames of a first group of pictures in a video signal is less than an expected total quantity of dependent frames of a first group of pictures in the video signal, determining, by a computing device, an anchor frame of a second group of pictures subsequent to the first group of pictures, wherein the anchor frame is associated with a scene change;
- and
- causing, by the computing device, based on the anchor frame that is associated with the scene change, and based on a deviation in an audio level in an audio signal, the video signal to be synchronized with the audio signal.
A computing device comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing device to:
- based on determining that a total quantity of dependent frames of a first group of pictures in a video signal is less than an expected total quantity of dependent frames of a first group of pictures in the video signal, determine an anchor frame of a second group of pictures subsequent to the first group of pictures, wherein the anchor frame is associated with a scene change;
- and
- cause, based on the anchor frame that is associated with the scene change, and based on a deviation in an audio level in an audio signal, the video signal to be synchronized with the audio signal.
3 more elements
One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed, cause:
- based on determining that a total quantity of dependent frames of a first group of pictures in a video signal is less than an expected total quantity of dependent frames of a first group of pictures in the video signal, determining, by a computing device, an anchor frame of a second group of pictures subsequent to the first group of pictures, wherein the anchor frame is associated with a scene change;
- and
- causing, by the computing device, based on the anchor frame that is associated with the scene change, and based on a deviation in an audio level in an audio signal, the video signal to be synchronized with the audio signal.
