Claims20
A roofing system, comprising:
- a steep sloped roof comprising a substrate;
- a roofing composite membrane installed on the substrate, wherein the roofing composite membrane comprises:
- a first layer comprising a polymer material;
- wherein the first layer further comprises a plurality of pockets spaced along at least one side thereof;
- a second layer covering the first layer, thereby to form a plurality of closed pockets;
- and
- a gas trapped within the plurality of closed pockets, thereby to form a plurality of gas-filled pockets;
- a roofing shingle installed directly on the roofing composite membrane
- wherein the roofing shingle is an outermost layer and;
- and
- wherein the roofing shingle is exposed to environment.
