Abstract
Disclosed herein are examples of a heating apparatus. In some embodiments, the heating apparatus is a battery powered heating apparatus suitable for burning or vaporizing a vaporizable material, such as an oil, wax, or liquid that when vaporized may be inhaled by a user. The heating apparatus includes a deployable element including a resistive element. In some embodiments, the heating apparatus has variable heat settings for the resistive element, controllable by the user through a user input (e.g., a button). In some embodiments, an indicator provides output communication to the user. The heating apparatus may include a power supply such as a rechargeable battery to supply power to the resistive element.
Claims22
A heating apparatus comprising:
- a main body including:
- a power supply;
- a deployable element selectively coupled to the main body in a first configuration and selectively disconnected from the main body in a deployed configuration, wherein the deployable element includes:
- an energy storage element,
- a heating element in electrical communication with the energy storage element for providing heat energy,
- a physical interface portion selectively engaging the main body,
- an electrical interface in electrical communication with the energy storage element and the heating element, wherein in the first configuration the electrical interface is in electrical communication with the power supply to provide electrical power to the heating element;
- and
- wherein, in the deployed configuration, the energy storage element supplies electrical power to the heating element to at least maintain a vaporizing temperature of the heating element for a vaporizable material.
A heating apparatus comprising:
- a main body including
- a power distribution element;
- a deployable element coupled to the main body in a first configuration, the deployable element operably connected with the power distribution element in the first configuration, and selectively disconnected from the main body in a deployed configuration, the deployable element including:
- a heating element in electrical communication with the power distribution element in the first configuration, and disconnected from the power distribution element in conjunction with the removal of the deployable element from the main body in the deployed configuration, and
- an energy storage element, wherein the energy storage element supplies electrical charge to the heating element when the deployable element is in the deployed configuration,
- wherein, in the deployed configuration, the energy storage element supplies electrical charge to the heating element to generate heat energy to at least maintain or attain a vaporizing temperature sufficient to vaporize a vaporizable material positioned in a container of a smoking apparatus.
