Abstract
An apparatus is provided for a turbine engine. This turbine engine apparatus includes a monolithic body. The monolithic body includes a splash plate and a fuel nozzle. The splash plate includes a splash plate surface. The fuel nozzle includes a nozzle orifice. The fuel nozzle is configured to direct fuel out of the nozzle orifice to impinge against the splash plate surface.
Claims10
An apparatus for a turbine engine, comprising:
- a fuel vaporizer comprising a vaporizer centerline and a fluid passage extending along the vaporizer centerline through the fuel vaporizer;
- and
- a monolithic body including a splash plate, a support member and a fuel nozzle, the splash plate including a splash plate surface, the support member connecting and extending between the splash plate and the fuel nozzle, the fuel nozzle including a nozzle orifice, the fuel nozzle configured to direct fuel out of the nozzle orifice to impinge against the splash plate surface, the splash plate surface angularly offset from the vaporizer centerline and configured to direct at least some of the fuel against the fuel vaporizer, the fuel nozzle projecting into a flow passage, the support member is upstream of the nozzle orifice relative to a fluid flow within the flow passage, and a width of the splash plate surface greater than a width of the nozzle orifice.
