Abstract
An electromagnetic brake with a housing body and an armature disk, wherein the armature disk is guided axially via a groove-lug connection in the housing body, and wherein at least one guide groove and at least one associated guide lug are provided, wherein the respective guide groove is preferably arranged in the housing body.
Claims20
An electromagnetic brake with a housing body and an armature disk, wherein the housing body comprises a pole core, wherein the armature disk is guided axially via a groove-lug connection in the housing body, wherein the groove-lug connection comprises at least one guide groove and at least one associated guide lug, wherein a friction disk is positively connected to the housing body.
An electromagnetic brake comprising:
- a housing body comprising a pole core and a radially-extending web;
- an armature disk;
- a groove-lug connection in the housing body, wherein the groove-lug connection comprises at least one guide groove formed in the housing body and at least one associated guide lug of the armature disk;
- and
- a coil unit having a tubular web portion positively connected to the housing body via a snap connection, the snap connection comprising:
- in
- at least one snap hook extending parallel to a longitudinal central axis of the coil unit;
- and
- a gap defined between the at least one snap hook and the tubular web portion of the coil unit;
- wherein a distal portion of the at least one snap hook is configured to flex into the gap upon insertion of the coil unit into the housing body, and to engage a web of the housing body;
- wherein the armature disk is configured to be guided axially via the groove-lug connection.
A method for assembling an electromagnetic brake, the method comprising:
- axially guiding an armature disk into a housing body via a groove-lug connection in the housing body, the housing body comprising a pole core, the groove-lug connection comprising at least one guide groove formed in the housing body and at least one associated guide lug of the armature disk;
- wherein the axially guiding the armature disk into the housing body comprises guiding the at least one guide lug of the armature disk in the at least one guide groove;
- and
- inserting a coil unit into the housing body such that at least one positioning lug of the coil unit engages in a corresponding receptacle of the housing body to protect against rotation;
- and
- snap-fitting the coil unit to the housing body by an axially positive connection, wherein the snap-fitting comprises:
- inserting a tubular web portion of the coil unit axially into the housing body;
- engaging at least one snap hook with a web of the housing body, the at least one snap hook extending parallel to a longitudinal central axis of the coil unit and cooperating with the tubular web portion to define a gap;
- flexing a distal portion of the at least one snap hook into the gap;
- and
- resiliently engaging the distal portion of the at least one snap hook with a web of the housing body.
