Abstract
A displacement pump is configured to mount to a drive housing. A reciprocating drive is connectable to a pump rod of the displacement pump and includes a connecting rod and a drive link that receives a head of the pump rod. A tightening ring connects the displacement pump to the drive housing to mount the displacement pump to the drive housing.

A fluid spraying system comprising:
- a displacement pump comprising:
- a cylinder;
- a pump rod at least partially disposed in the cylinder, the pump rod configured to reciprocate within the cylinder along a pump axis to cause the displacement pump to pump fluid
- a drive housing configured to support the displacement pump, the displacement pump mountable to the drive housing and dismountable from the drive housing, wherein the drive housing includes a mounting cavity having a first housing opening open on a bottom of the drive housing, the first housing opening downward facing;
- a reciprocating drive connectable to the pump rod, the reciprocating drive including:
- a connecting rod configured to interface with an eccentric and receive a rotational output from the eccentric;
- and
- a drive link connected to the connecting rod to be reciprocated by the connecting rod, the drive link disposed at least partially within the mounting cavity, wherein a drive cavity of the drive link includes a front opening through which the drive link receives a head of the pump rod to drive movement of the pump rod along the pump axis, wherein the head of the pump rod interfaces with the drive link within the drive housing;
- and
- a tightening ring disposed on and around the cylinder, the tightening ring including threading, the tightening ring rotatable about the pump axis and the cylinder to alternately threadingly tighten and loosen the tightening ring to the drive housing, the tightening ring configured to engage the drive housing to secure the displacement pump to the drive housing;
- wherein the pump rod extends within the mounting cavity and the cylinder extends into the first housing opening of the drive housing while the displacement pump is mounted to the drive housing;
- and
- wherein, while the displacement pump is mounted to the drive housing, an upper part of the tightening ring is located above a lower part of the drive housing that defines the first housing opening, and the upper part of the tightening ring overlaps with the lower part of the drive housing such that a line extending perpendicularly from the pump axis passes through the tightening ring and the lower part of the drive housing.

A fluid spraying system comprising:
- a displacement pump comprising:
- a cylinder;
- a pump rod at least partially disposed in the cylinder, the pump rod configured to reciprocate within the cylinder along a pump axis to cause the displacement pump to pump fluid
- a drive housing configured to support the displacement pump, the displacement pump mountable to the drive housing and dismountable from the drive housing, wherein the drive housing includes a mounting cavity having a first housing opening open on a bottom of the drive housing, the first housing opening downward facing;
- a reciprocating drive connectable to the pump rod, the reciprocating drive including:
- a connecting rod configured to interface with an eccentric and receive a rotational output from the eccentric;
- and
- a drive link connected to the connecting rod to be reciprocated by the connecting rod, the drive link disposed at least partially within the mounting cavity, wherein a drive cavity of the drive link includes a front opening through which the drive link receives a head of the pump rod to drive movement of the pump rod along the pump axis, wherein the head of the pump rod interfaces with the drive link within the drive housing;
- and
- a tightening ring disposed on and around the cylinder, the tightening ring including threading, the tightening ring rotatable about the pump axis and the cylinder to alternately threadingly tighten and loosen the tightening ring to the drive housing;
- wherein the pump rod extends within the mounting cavity and the cylinder extends into the first housing opening of the drive housing while the displacement pump is mounted to the drive housing;
- and
- wherein, while the displacement pump is mounted to the drive housing, the tightening ring engages the drive housing such that the tightening ring extends above a portion of the drive housing that defines the first housing opening.
