Dust collector including filter cleaning mechanism

A hand-held power tool comprising:

• a housing;
• a motor;
• a suction pipe;
• a suction fan operable to generate a vacuum in the suction pipe;
• a dust container positioned upstream of the suction fan;
• a filter at least partially arranged in the dust container;
• and
• a filter cleaning mechanism including a solenoid configured to be actuated by a controller to dislodge dust from the filter when either the motor or the suction fan transitions from an active state to an inactive state.

A hand-held power tool comprising:

• a first housing;
• a second housing coupled to the first housing;
• a telescoping suction pipe coupled to the second housing;
• a suction pipe configured to receive a vacuum;
• the second housing positioned upstream of the suction fan;
• a filter at least partially arranged in the second housing;
• and
• a filter cleaning mechanism including a solenoid configured to be actuated by a controller to dislodge dust from the filter when the suction fan transitions from an active state to an inactive state.
