Abstract
An input device includes an exterior member having an opening formed therein; an input member that has an upper surface to be touched by a user with a finger and that is disposed inside the opening; and a light diffusing member having a light emitting surface located along an outer edge of the input member, where the light emitting surface has a first region exposed in a gap between an inner edge of the opening of the exterior member and an outer edge of the input member and a second region positioned on an inner side of the outer edge of the input member and below a peripheral portion of the input member.
Claims19
An input device comprising:
- an exterior member having an opening formed therein;
- an input member that has an upper surface to be touched by a user with a finger and that is disposed inside the opening;
- a circuit board on which a light source is mounted;
- a frame that covers the circuit board;
- and
- a light diffusing member disposed on an upper side of the frame, the light diffusing member having a light emitting surface located along an outer edge of the input member, wherein:
- the light emitting surface has a first region exposed in a gap between an inner edge of the opening of the exterior member and an outer edge of the input member and a second region positioned on an inner side of the outer edge of the input member and below a peripheral portion of the input member,
- the input member is movable in an upward-downward direction,
- the light diffusing member is fixed to the exterior member or the frame,
- the frame has a through hole, and
- light from the light source passes through the through hole and enters the light diffusing member.
An input device comprising:
- an exterior member having an opening formed therein;
- an input member that has an upper surface to be touched by a user with a finger and that is disposed inside the opening;
- a circuit board on which a light source is mounted,
- a frame that covers the circuit board, and
- a light diffusing member disposed on an upper side of frame, the light diffusing member having a light emitting surface located along an outer edge of the input member, wherein:
- the light emitting surface has a first region exposed in a gap between an inner edge of the opening of the exterior member and an outer edge of the input member and a second region positioned on an inner side of the outer edge of the input member and below a peripheral portion of the input member,
- the opening of the exterior member opens forward,
- the light diffusing member has a front portion configured to restrict forward movement of the input member,
- the frame has a through hole, and
- light from the light source passes through the through hole and enters the light diffusing member.
