Abstract
The present invention discloses a novel dental care composition comprising combination of various ingredients majorly includes natural ingredients which acts synergistically to treat various dental related disorders. The natural ingredients herein includes a synergistic composition of guava leaf extract, sodium perborate and honey. The said composition exhibits anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-septic properties.
Claims4
A dental care composition comprising:
- 5% guava leaf extract, 0.1% honey, and 0.1% sodium perborate:
- wherein the guava lead extract, honey, and sodium perborate synergistically interact when introduced in the oral environment to act on cells under oxidative stress, thereby providing wound healing via anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial activities.
A method of treating periodontal disease conditions, the method comprising:
- administration of a dental care composition comprising 5% guava leaf extract, 0.1% honey, and 0.1% sodium perborate, wherein the guava leaf extract, honey, and sodium perborate synergistically interact when introduced into the oral environment to act on cells under oxidative stress, thereby providing wound healing via antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial activities.
