Abstract
Disclosed herein are replaceable filter frame gaskets and air filters having the same. The gasket is secured elastically to a filter frame of the air filter, making the gasket easily reusable and removable from the air filter.
Claims15
A replaceable air filter frame gasket, comprising:
- a rectangular ring shaped body having a top surface, a bottom surface, an inner wall, and an outer wall;
- an inner perimeter;
- an outer perimeter having a first corner;
- a flange extending outward to the outer perimeter from the outer wall of the body along the outer perimeter, wherein the flange has a first cutaway at the first corner extending from the first corner to a first outer edge of the outer perimeter and a second cutaway extending from the first corner to a second outer edge of the outer perimeter;
- a protrusion extending upward from the top surface;
- and
- a mating portion extending along the bottom surface of the body.
