Abrasive product

A method of obtaining an abrasive product, the method comprising:

• providing a substrate having a first surface and a second surface,
• providing abrasives on the first surface of the substrate,
• providing loops on the second surface of the substrate,
• providing a melted or burnt area on the second surface of the substrate by melting or burning the loops, comprising controlling the melting or burning such that no perforation or perforations penetrating the substrate are produced, and
• mechanically cutting the substrate in order to provide the abrasive product,
• wherein the mechanical cutting is performed via die cutting, roller die cutting or flatbed cutting,
• wherein the mechanical cutting is performed by a mechanical manufacturing equipment, and
• wherein the mechanical cutting is performed prior to melting or burning or after melting or burning,
• the method further comprising:
• aligning the melting or burning and the cutting.
