Anatomical feature tracking

A system for tracking an anatomical feature, the system comprising:

• an instrument comprising an imaging device;
• and
• control circuitry communicatively coupled to the instrument, wherein the control circuitry is configured to cause the system to perform operations comprising:
• advancing the instrument to an operational environment including a target anatomical feature of a subject;
• generating a first image of a first portion of the operational environment using the imaging device of the instrument when the instrument is in a first position;
• identifying a first representation of the target anatomical feature in the first image;
• generating a second image of a second portion of the operational environment using the imaging device of the instrument when the instrument is in a second position;
• identifying a second representation of the target anatomical feature in the second image;
• determining a first set of parameters associated with the instrument in the first position;
• determining a second set of parameters associated with the instrument in the second position;
• and
• generating a three-dimensional position of the target anatomical feature based at least in part on the first representation of the target anatomical feature in the first image, the second representation of the target anatomical feature in the second image, the first set of parameters, and the second set of parameters.
