Abstract
A system for traversing an opening of a construction element the system including a elongated housing with two extendable elements configured to reside at least partially within the housing. The extendable elements may extend beyond the housing and may include flanges or ledges which may engage the ends of a construction element, which may be a wall, and thus allow the system to traverse the opening of a construction element, such as a window or door. A coupler may be utilized to connect to a more than one elongated housing element to provide for traversal across even larger openings. The system may allow a user to easily manipulate the system to fit a plurality of openings and reuse the system a countless number of times.

A system for traversing an opening, comprising:
- a first elongated frame;
- a second elongated frame;
- a coupler for receiving and coupling the first elongated frame and the second elongated frame, the coupler comprising:

- a first set of coupler ports axially aligned within the second coupler walls;
- and
- a second set of coupler ports, spaced apart from the first set of coupler ports, axially aligned within the second coupler walls;
- wherein the coupler channel is oriented substantially upward with the first elongated frame and second elongated frame residing within the coupler channel when the system traverses an opening;
- and
- the first elongated frame comprising:
- a first planar surface;
- a first longitudinal wall extending substantially perpendicular from the first planar surface, and a second longitudinal wall, opposite the first longitudinal wall, extending substantially perpendicular from the first planar surface, the first and second longitudinal walls forming a channel;
